Girolamo "Gerry" Falletta, originally from Hamilton, Ontario, has proudly carried forward the legacy of his Italian immigrant family by being the first to graduate from university and pursue a successful legal career. This achievement resonates deeply within Hamilton's thriving Italian community, which continues to enrich the city’s cultural landscape. A significant tenure marked Falletta's professional path as a partner at Centennial Law Group LLP, where he served the Hamilton area and its surroundings. His expertise covered various legal sectors, including corporate law, civil litigation, estate planning, and particularly personal injury, showcasing his versatile legal acumen. At Centennial Law Group LLP, Gerry primarily handled personal injury litigation, also overseeing the firm’s operational responsibilities. His advocacy was driven by a commitment to supporting accident victims, ensuring they received the legal representation and compensation necessary for their recovery. His reputation was built on a foundation of strategic litigation management, from the preliminary stages through to courtroom proceedings, where he excelled in achieving favorable outcomes for his clients. Educationally, Falletta pursued a BA in Political Science from York University, followed by a paralegal diploma from Seneca College, and later an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School. Each step of his educational journey, particularly at Osgoode Hall—known for its rigorous standards and low acceptance rates—prepared him for the complexities of legal practice. Prior to his pivotal role at Centennial Law Group LLP, Gerry worked as a partner and paralegal at Affirm Paralegal Services, handling a broad range of litigation and pre-litigation matters. His legal career commenced at Simpson Wigle Law LLP, where he gained invaluable experience that would later inform his professional approach and client relations. Family remains a cornerstone of Falletta’s life; he is a devoted father to two teenagers and a caregiver to his mother, who has Parkinson’s disease. He also mourned the loss of his father in 2019 due to a brain injury. His Italian heritage is a significant aspect of his identity, reflected in his active participation in community and volunteer efforts within Hamilton’s Italian Canadian community. Additionally, Gerry supports the Lawyers Feed the Hungry program through the Law Society Foundation, leveraging his legal expertise to aid those in need and promote the importance of legal education. An avid sports enthusiast, Gerry Falletta has played soccer, golf, tennis, and basketball throughout his life. He views sports not just as recreational activities but as platforms for instilling values like teamwork, discipline, and resilience. He passionately teaches these principles to his children, ensuring they grow up with a well-rounded perspective on life and sport.
